  • Actually Google/YouTube has agreed to take down videos that Senator Lieberman has complained about through the standard reporting channels. However what they will not agree to do is remove videos that do not violate their terms of service, simply because he disagrees with the people posting them.

  • I have never tried to use Google Earth offline, but it actually caches some data, so you can actually use it in a limited fashion. I would prefer some better functionality in offline mode, but it's not completely the same.

  • The functionality exists in the PC world using Picasa and GoogleEarth. My guess would be a partnership between Apple and Google would extend the same functionality between iPhoto and Google Earth.

  • We actually do have an easier way that doesn't require amending the Consitution. Typically there is only a portion of the law that is unconsitutional, re-passing/amending the law to exclude the unconsitutional portion or trying to use a different mechanism toachieve the same goal.

  • It's insane, but it is unfortunately a fairly clear target of the religious right for quite a while. It's a generalization, but they seem to be very anti-woman.

  • To clarify, they have a name for what the C.I.A.C. wanted the coach to do, it's called point shaving. It's typically considered a method fo cheating. So you have to ask the board members which would they rather have: Point Shaving, Mercy Rule or Humiliating Defeat.
